Privacy policy

Weitsman LLC ("we") operates Scents Hunt. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, and your time zone if you set one. We use passwordless sign-in links.
• Wishlist and alerts: the products you save and the alert targets you set.
• Newsletter: your email and a record of when and how you agreed to receive it (double opt-in).
• Usage data: pages viewed and clicks on retailer links, recorded without your name or email. For clicks we store a one-way hash of your IP address and browser, used only to filter bots and duplicates.
• Email events: whether an email bounced or was marked as spam, so we stop sending to that address.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information. We don't put personal information in links to retailers.

Cookies

We use a sign-in cookie when you log in. Your wishlist is kept in your browser's local storage until you sign in. [Owner to decide on analytics cookies and consent banner before launch.]

Service providers

Retention

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Click records are kept for [period]. Email suppression records are kept so we don't email an address that asked us to stop.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any email with one click, delete alerts, and delete your account from your account page. You can contact support@scentshunt.com with privacy requests. [Owner to add state-specific rights (e.g. California) with counsel.]
