Is that perfume deal really a deal?

The short answer

A low headline price is only a good deal if it's for the exact bottle you want, in the packaging you want, at a delivered cost you're happy with, from a retailer whose terms you've checked.

A five-point checklist

  1. Exact item. Same fragrance, flanker, concentration and size. A flanker is a different product from the original.
  2. Packaging. Retail boxed, tester, unboxed, refill or gift set? Each has its own comparison on ScentsHunt. See tester vs boxed perfume.
  3. Delivered cost. Add shipping. Unknown shipping is not free shipping.
  4. Coupon conditions. First-order, membership and minimum-spend coupons only help if you qualify. We show them separately and can't promise a code will be accepted.
  5. Context. Compare with recent prices. We only show a 30-day low when we have recorded enough days of prices to support it.

Freshness

Prices change. We leave prices older than 24 hours out of rankings and label them as out of date when we keep them for reference.

The retailer

Read the retailer's return policy and our retailer notes. Appearing on ScentsHunt does not by itself mean a retailer is an authorized seller of every brand.
